A new machine spec called for ten coordinated axes at speeds that ruled out anything pneumatic. Our brief: deliver the motion architecture, the servo selection, and the controls program — and prove cycle time on the spec before metal was cut.
Allen-Bradley + Kinetix + Yaskawa, simulated first.
Allen-Bradley CompactLogix at the controller. Kinetix drives on the precision axes. Yaskawa servos on the long-stroke linear actuators. Motion profiled and simulated in Studio 5000 against the spec before any axis turned. Final cycle time hit the target on first commissioning.
